I’m Miriam Aguilar, a web designer based in San Diego County, and a mother to a sassy 3-year old girl. My specialties are UX design, print graphics, and front-end development.
I create usable, professional websites using best practice accessibility and the latest web standard guidelines. I’ve developed hand-coded and WordPress websites for static to e-commerce use. Producing most web assets for the project while consulting on the design of the layout to have a responsive user experience. I design wireframes to A/B testing to make sure that the launch date is successful.
My work with graphic design consists of advertisement material for both web and print. Designs for web graphics are usually web elements that range from banners and/or interactive buttons. For the most part, the printed materials I design for our product/packaging and custom invitations. Working usually with marketing managers to get the final product approved. Occasionally, I have a freelance job in which I have to work with more than one customer but I provide the same amount of attention just as if it was a big project.
Along with all that knowledge, photography plays a big part in my creativity. I have professional experience working on sets and knowledge of the equipment needed to provide a successful shoot. My photography skill mends well in the social media community. Easily expressing ideas with visually appealing images. I’ve photographed children of all ages, products, family portraits, weddings and more! My all-time favorite type of photography is travel. I love going to the hidden gems of the world. Always looking for the next adventure to interact with the people who inhabit the area.
The industry offers many ways to keep connected to what’s new, so I attend conferences or meetups hosted by the community. Following pages has also kept me informed on recent news to help me grow as a creative mind. Throughout the years, I’ve grown with the industry and hope to impact it as much as it has to me. My career goals are to own an e-commerce store. Offering the same support that the community has provided me. That dream is what keeps me learning more. Hope my portfolio inspires!
